Gold Recycling
We all know how important it is to recycle our paper, glass, plastic and other items around the house but what about our old unwanted gold? Gold recycling is becoming more popular in Ireland. Gold is a finite commodity, meaning that there is a limit on the amount of gold in the world. Thus, recycling is good for the environment as it limits the amount of gold that has to be mined. Along with the environmental need to recycle, the price of gold is at an all time high, meaning that people are getting great value out of recycling old, unwanted pieces of gold.
Charities have also seen the potential in recycling old gold jewellery. Oxfam, Concern, Barnardos and The Irish Hospice Foundation are all partners with the ForgottenGoldAppeal.
